About Dr. Weiss

I earned my doctorate from William James College, an APA accredited Psy.D. program in Boston, MA. I have extensive experience providing individual and family therapy to individuals across the lifespan. I’ve focused my work on internalizing disorders, such as anxiety, phobias, OCD, depression, and trauma-related disorders, as well as reproductive mental health, such as infertility, parenthood and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). I utilize many different modalities in order to facilitate growth in the most comfortable atmosphere. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Psychodynamic approaches.

Approach

We all experience times when it’s difficult to manage our thoughts, emotions, and inner struggles—let alone talk through them. I want to be there with you on your journey.

My primary focus is to help clients gain insight, make meaningful behavioral changes, and build lasting resilience. In our sessions, you can expect to take part in an active and insightful process. Together, we will explore your current challenges within the context of your unique life experiences. Through skill-building, metaphors, and a touch of humor, we’ll work to increase your awareness of the thoughts and patterns that may be contributing to your situation.

As a relational therapist, I strive to foster a warm, supportive environment where you feel understood, accepted, and empowered to create positive change.

I use practical, evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help equip you with tools and strategies you can carry with you long after therapy ends. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen and heard: a place where you can explore your personal history, develop new insights, and build the skills needed to thrive.
